$1.29 a Pound !!!

Image
There are probably similar sales going on at other locations but Lin's in Hurricane has boneless, skinless, frozen chicken breasts going for a $1.29 a pound. I haven't seen prices like that for a long time! If you're able to preserve meats in any way, shape, or form, this is a great opportunity!

Lights Out!

Flooding? Here? You gotta be kidding me!

We may not have a lot of water running around this desert, but we do have a few washes and rivers that can turn into dangerous torrents. Here is some good information (thanks for sharing, Joe Furse !, and the video is Gould's Wash a few weeks ago, right down by Lin's): https://extension.usu.edu/preparedness/floods

TODAY: Hurricane City Emergency Drill. Please Read...

Hello members of DISTRICT 10! Please remember that today is our Hurricane City Emergency Preparedness Drill. Your Block Captain volunteers will begin canvassing your Block at 6:00 p.m. Please have your door hanger on your front door knob showing GREEN before that time. If this were a real city-wide emergency and you had an immediate serious need (such as medical emergency or a gas leak or water main burst, etc.) , you would have the RED side out and you would be contacted by your Block Captain in order to get necessary help to you from the appropriate level of response ASAP. If you have lost your card, contact your Block Captain or message us well before the drill begins (if that doesn't work you can tie something green to your door knob and then get ahold of one of us later). If you have questions about the whys and the hows, please scroll down our latest District 10 Newsletter (past the Back to Basics). Thank you very much for your cooperation.
