October 2023 District 10 Newsletter

We have been SO busy since our last District 10 Newsletter. Finally we have one for October. We really believe the adage about not running faster than you have strength, but we always want to encourage our friends to do what they can to be prepared for harder times, no matter what the source is. Please read this with your family's well-being in mind. Have a great day, week, whatever until next time we talk!   District 10 October 2023 Newsletter “ If ye are prepared, ye shall not fear…BUT YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!” -Popular saying adapted by us. Goals: Practice: Have a Family Council and discuss your status in areas of Preparedness (see back). Make a prioritized list and, together, come up with a plan to consistently act upon it:   Short Term Preparedness: “Go Bag” and security items to keep in your cars and at home. A family plan of where your children will meet you in a general emergency.   Long Term Preparedness: Evaluate your mental and emoti...

Educational Preparedness

Take Mike Rowe's advice and consider Technical College ( https://mikeroweworks.org/ ). Get the idea out of your head that these schools train for second-rate jobs. Consider the number of highly respected people in your community who are Electricians, Plumbers, Mechanics, Welders, Machinists, Truck Drivers, Chefs, Practical Nurses, App Designers, Pr...

September and October Back to Basics Newsletters

Well, we've had a very busy Summer and Autumn and kind of got off track with this page, what with weddings, funerals and other events within our immediate family...then harvesting and storing peaches (freeze dried), grapes (as raisins) and honey (and getting stung in the process). But I'm going to clean up my act and share the latest two Back to Basics below. If you aren't feeling at least a tug of awareness that the world is rapidly changing and there is a need to be prepared physically and spiritually for challenges that may come as a result, then you need to start paying more attention. These newsletters are full of great advice and wisdom. They are on the "Back to Basics Newsletters" page of this blog. Thank you!

More on Water Barrels

Image
Hello everyone! We had a successful water barrel order/delivery. If you missed out and would still like to order your own water barrels, you can call Ronni Donovan at 435-218-2041. Delivery will not be free (unless somebody wants to drum up another order of 45), but they will still be a great deal. Thanks!
