Just Keep On Cookin'!

Talk About Power!!!

  Talk about power! If and when there is a short-ish power outage we hope we are all ready to slip into "camping mode". You'd definately want to keep your refrigerator door closed. (It's a good idea to fill up extra room in your freezer with bottles of water that become ice, like used gallon jugs or 2-liter pop bottles. Keep them as high as possible in the freezer.) But if the outage extends into days or longer, the "camping mode" might include quickly consuming or preserving food that has to be kept cool and relying on your non-refrigerated food storage. BUT!!! There are options that can keep your refrigerator and other essentials running, particularly if you have fuel stored up or solar panels.
